This ‘set’ of artists who took part in the staging of Jesus’ death comes as no surprise to readers of Classical Sunday. Both the Goldberg Baroque Ensemble, led by Andrzej Mikołaj Szadejko, and the soloists mentioned above (at least some of them) have already dealt with music from old Gdansk, and the cantata cycle published by Sarton is, quite simply, brilliant.- Classic Sunday
